This week it just started cooling down. The night fishing is always good for Catfish and Bluegill!  The trout fishing is doing good still, if trolling you do need to go down about 50 feet.

Alexis Phillips and Papa of Nevada City caught a nice trout using worms fishing all over lake.  Derek Buickerood of Peteluma caught a nice 2 1/2 lb trout using Kastmaster lure by the swim beach.  Ty Buck of Irvine caught a nice 1 1/2 lb trout using chartrouse powerbait  down by the dam.  Bobby Sanders of Sacramento caught a 4 3/4 lb Catfish directly across  from the main boat launch ramp using mackerel.  Allen Hicks & Lewis Britton caught a big 7 lb. Catfish and a 1 1/2lb bluegill near bridge.  Bonnie Milford of Manteca caught a 3 lb. Bass using Rapala lures in Elmers Cove.  Jim Parson of West Sacramento caught a nice 5 1/2 lb Catfish using crank bait night fishing.  Christy Ostergren of Foresthill caught a       5 1/4 lb Catfish using clams and sardines down by the open area.  The Mendoza Family of Fremont had a great time! They caught 7 crappie of the dock using worms and minnows.  Chase Ricardy of Yuba City caught 2 trout and 1 crappie down by the dam using worms. This was his first fish caught at Collins Lake before he starts his first day of school!!

School has started and the fishing is still doing good!! So…come on out and try a day of fishing!                    There is less people and more fish in the lake to be caught! Come and have some fun!
