This past week the Zaski Family caught some huge BASS and Dave Jr.’s little girl Makaylin caught her very first fish! She was fishing with her girly fishing pole and hooked a nice Bluegill.

Setuli & Sandrey Palma took their Daddy fishing for Father’s Day and I would call their trip very successful, the girls got skunked but Dad caught one Crappie after another!! Sandrey even got so excited she had to give one of the fish a big SMOOCH!!
Tommy Buickerood from Petaluma trolled with a Tasmanian Devil lure and caught a nice trout on the east side near the dam. Paul Boettcher from Concord fished this side of the dam using PowerBait.

Tai Reed from Antioch caught a huge stringer of Crappie & Bluegill early in the morning using worms off the dock. Misty Martinez from Petaluma caught her trout near the rental boat dock using PowerBait.
Charlie Reese from Morgan Hill hooked onto a nice 2 lb. 12 oz. Rainbow trout by the dam while trolling a Rapala.
The deeper the better for the trout, most trollers are going 25′ or deeper right now with this heat wave. Luckily we aren’t looking at triple digits this coming week!! Night fishing off the dock usually works good too and it’s a lot cooler…..
Our Bass population is quite good, as well as Crappie & Bluegill and since they thrive in the warm waters, most are caught near the bank or the islands. Most Catfish catches are at night, they seem to feed or roam around more after dark.
