The New Year is looking better and better as the forecast shows seven straight days of rain coming our way!  Look for a healthy Collins Lake on the rise as a result of the prediction of El Nino this year……..

Check out the 6 lb. 12 oz. Rainbow caught by Tyler Bristow on New Year’s Day,  he used green PowerBait from shore, great catch indeed!  Dakota Wood from Los Gatos caught her 3 lb. Rainbow just today and she also used PowerBait fishing in front of her campsite.

Brianna, Kendra, & Gavin had a photo taken with their 2 lb. 8 oz. Rainbow Trout which they caught on rainbow PowerBait!!!

Wyatt and Miranda Joseph also caught a nice rainbow today while celebrating their time off school doing what they love!!  They also got to fish with their friends, Gunner, Charlie & Grady Hyatt and Joey Reemts.

Kasey Smith & Reed Garlend of Loomis caught a whole limit of trout along the shoreline by the dam using PowerBait.  Mikayla & her Dad and her Papa caught trout by the dam using yellow PowerBait.

Gianna Tassio of Pacifica fished with her family near the boat ramp and caught 4 trout one day and 4 more trout on the eve of the new year!!  The Salmeron Family had some great fishing days while camping with us over the holiday.  They fished mostly from their site with orange PB and Dominic and Nick show off their biggest trout, a 3 pounder!

Leslie Seid from Livermore limited out on trout, his biggest weighed 2 lb. 12 oz. and he also caught a 4 lb. Catfish. He fished by the dam using worms or PowerBait.  Elaine picked up three nice bows fishing from shore by the dock and she always uses orange PowerBait.

Tristan Kitching from Discovery Bay trolled by the dam using worms and caught 4 nice trout.  Gary Alvey from Windsor also trolled closer to the marina, and caught a 2 lb. 12 oz. trout.

The Sondgroth Family from Sac. caught three trout by the dam shoreline using a combo of worms and PowerBait.

Dick Holmes and Dan Jorgensen from Lincoln had a great day of fishing, including the big 3 lb. 8 oz. Rainbow that topped their stringer, using PowerBait.

Kevin Ashlock & granddaughter Ellie Hanan shared some special moments while fishing the shoreline on pink Powerbait,  Ellie caught a beautiful trout too…….
