We saw lots of trout this week over five pounds and it looks like half of them were caught from shore and half from a boat, either trolling or baitfishing with worms or PowerBait.  Weekly trout plants have begun with a private plant due today!

Ryan Barella of Windsor netted a beautiful 7 lb. 4 oz. Rainbow while trolling his favorite pink lure near the buoys.  The east bank produced two 5 pound trout on worms.  One was caught by Ray Johnson on a purple Roboworm  and the other one was hooked by Steve Sewell from Grass Valley trolling a worm.

David Bunting from Yuba City landed his 6lb. Bow from the dam shoreline, he used PowerBait.  Dino Tribuzi from Auburn caught his 5 lb. trout under the power lines on PowerEggs (yellow)!!  Jackie Lamson had an incredible day of fishing by the dam using worms.  She caught TWO HUGE TROUT, a 7 lb. 4 oz. and a 6 lb. 4 oz.

Robby Jellsey limited out and his monster trout weighed 6 lb. 10 oz., second biggest 3 lb. 4 oz. and 3 more smaller ones around two pounds.  A huge 6 lb. 8 oz. trout was caught just today by Floyd Riffey from Loomis who was trolling a Rapala near the dam.

Alex Gordon & Chad Hepner LIMITED OUT on TROUT using chartreuse PowerBait down in the Open Area near the dam and their big boy weighed in at 4 pounds!  Tommy, Rob & Vince also caught three LIMITS of TROUT on rainbow PowerBait and their big one was a hefty 5 pounds!

The Smith family caught a variety of fish, including trout, bass, and bluegill and they anchored in near the island and used worms or PowerBait.  Ricardo Gomez, Giovanni, and the girls caught trout while trolling and their BIG ONE topped the scale at 6 lb. 8 oz.   Little Wyatt Tillman & Jeff Incerty from Rocklin came out with three trout and they could barely hold up their stringer with their huge 6 pounder dragging the ground.
