The 4th and final fall trophy trout plant arrived on Thurs. 11/20. Now we will concentrate on our net pen project, raising trout to supplement the spring trout plants. Trout fishing is still doing great and this week two little guys caught the biggest fish of the week. Gordon Baio of Auburn hooked a 5 lb. 2 oz. Rainbow trolling a Kastmaster with a worm, fishing with his Dad (Croix).
Brayden Golden (5 yrs. old) from Roseville hooked a 6 lb. 8 oz. Rainbow from shore near the dock while his Dad (Barry) was trolling and didn’t catch a thing! Brayden was fishing with worms and using an Ugly Stik with a closed face reel and the line messed up while he was trying to land it. His Grandpa Marshall Crandall helped him pull the line in by hand until they got it close enough to net it!

The Crandell 2nd annual campout included the Golden’s and the Ramos family, and they had one thing in common and it wasn’t fish! Check out the photo where everyone has an ice cream in their hand, the only “fitting end” to a wonderful campout. Sorry Dad’s, the boys (Brayden & Nathaniel) caught all the fish. The boys have a gorgeous stringer of Redears and trout, plus Brayden’s monster trout.

Kenny & Steven Ross of Napa, Ca. had a fantastic day of fishing, taking home 8 Rainbows which they caught near the power lines using worms or PowerBait.
Tom Ives (from Browns Valley) & Ben Boyd (from Paradise) trolled around 10′ with flashers and worms and caught seven trout. They were going deeper but not catching anything and after adjusting their depth started hooking them up one after another.

Garlic PowerBait did the trick for Ava & Adam Contreras from Woodland. Tori Severson from Browns Valley caught two nice trout (biggest 3 lb. 4 oz.) by the dam using PowerBait.
