On March 27th our Collins Lake crew released four out of twelve net pens of trout, the equivalent of about three plants!  Next week we will be getting another 1,800 lbs. of trophy trout and release yet another two net pens.  That is a whopping 6,500 lbs. of trout in a two week span!! 

Daylene, Bailey, & Dearrel from Robbins caught 12 Rainbows from the beach shoreline on worms or green Powerbait.  Jack Borges & Selena Glick from Pioneer trolled with flashers & crawlers near Goose Island and caught their trout.  John & Courtney from Colfax trolled Rapalas and together landed a beautiful limit of trout (biggest 3-1/4 lb.)

Larry Moore from Sutter must have prayed for “abundance” because that’s what he got!  He hooked a perfect limit of Rainbows and his big one was a 3 lb. 12 oz. beauty which he caught on worms by the dam. 

Victoria Lacalle fished from shore with PowerBait and netted a 3 lb. trout!  Young Celeste Chavers hooked a huge 2 lb. 12 oz. trout by the marina on PowerEggs.

Ryan & Haley Olson used pink PowerBait on the beach and hooked 3 trout, then later that day caught 2 more trout and the biggest one weighed 3 pounds!

Tim Zerba & Joice Mercier from Oroville used red & chartreuse Powerbait and caught a limit of trout by the dam and their stringer topped a 4 pounder!  John, Spencer, & Klint & their gang caught a DOZEN BASS, 3 trout, 3 catfish, and a bluegill fishing with worms on a bobber.

Ken & Jordyn Parks from Citrus Heights brought in a 2 lb. 8 oz. trout on PowerBait by the dam.  Leilani and her group showed off their 6 b. 4 oz. Catfish which they hooked on chicken livers by the dam.

John Bullock caught the BIGGEST TROUT OF THE WEEK, his 4 lb. 8 oz. Rainbow was caught from the shoreline on a Rapala lure, lucky guy!!

Winston Huber from SAC. brought in a gorgeous trout from shore on PowerBait.  Chartreuse PowerBait worked for Skyla, Nathan, & Kaylie from Woodland too, they caught 3 trout from shore also.

Steve Billeci & Rob from Antioch trolled nightcrawlers all over the lake and caught a limit of trout, a bass, and a Catfish that weighed 4 lb. 4 oz.
