Spring has Sprung

Limits, limits, and more limits!!  This week the fish catching went crazy and wild with many limits of trout and bass as well.  Big trout continue to dominate the fish picture board.  The biggest ones were caught trolling with Needlefish or worms.  Martha & Jesse Castellanos hooked a 7 lb. 12 oz. trout on a green Needlefish.  Shawn Salisbury used a flasher and worm and hooked a 7 lb. 4 oz. Rainbow. 

Captain Jack Lopez and his two mates (Will Bellah & Lenny Preador) from Lincoln had a GRRRReat day of fishing and they lost as many as they caught they said.  They trolled with a dodger and a worm and Lenny caught the whopper of the day in their boat, a 6 pound Rainbow!!  Using a downrigger, Captain Jack had them trolling @ exactly 22′ down.

Mary Beth Hull and her husband caught two trout and said they can’t wait to come back!! They fished from the bank with worms.  Bank fishing with Powerbait did the trick for Rich & Linda Cassata from San Jose, they hooked a 6 pound trout along with some others.  Larry & Sandy Wright and her brother Bob Patterson caught so many trout they were “exhausted” !!  Bob caught a 5 lb. 2 oz. Catfish on worms under the powerlines in their pontoon boat. Life is tough!!

Chris & Gary Holsey of Yuba City limited out on BASS (5 each) on purple worms, all over the lake they said.  Monti Wright & Charles Descoteaux brought Elisabeth and Alexander fishing and caught a variety of fish, including Bluegill, Bass, and a 5 lb. 8 oz. Catfish mostly in Elmer’s Cove.  Richard & James caught 10 Bass drifting with worms.   Jesse & James trolled with Needlefish and netted 4 nice trout, their biggest a 5 lb. 12 oz. Rainbow.

The Coffman family reunion took place this week with Gary Coffman reigning the title of the biggest fish in their group, a 4 lb. trout he caught trolling a worm.  Jessica Guzman of Marysville caught a huge Redear Sunfish, it was 1-1/2 lbs.  Gustavo and Brittney stayed at their campsite and caught 6 nice trout on Powerbait.  Tom Hyde emailed us his picture taken with his huge 2 ft. Bass he caught while fishing here with his Rooster tail fishing club on the 23rd.

Mica Fish from Reno, Nv. limited out yesterday and today and his biggest trout weighed 4 pounds. He’s trolling with a pink fly or Kastmaster.  He said he was about 15′ down or 3 colors.  Hal Smith limits on trout from shore by the dam using multicolors of Powerbait. 

Jaceson Smith & his lovely Angela from Natomas had a blast fishing from shore yesterday they both limited out on trout using Powerbait, the were averaging 2 to 3 pounds each.  Rick Hull caught the first fish of his official retirement
