We offer plentiful bounties of fish!! A major trophy plant arrived on Wed. 5/3 and the Bass, Bluegill and Catfish are waking up.  Ken Borello & his granddaughters hooked two nice CATS in Elmer’s Cove on chicken livers.  The biggest was 10 lbs. and the other was 7 lb. 4 oz.   Bob Pinter of Auburn caught his biggest Collins Lake Trout this week, it was a 3 pound rainbow he caught trolling a Rapala.

Rich Cassata spent his 65th birthday celebration here this week and he and wife Linda caught fish almost everyday.  Mitch Monroe of Dobbins reeled in a Bluegill almost two pounds, trailing a nightcrawler on the east side. Leslie Gaines had no problem catching a limit of Bass on live crawdads, about 18 feet down she said.  Phil & little Crystal brought in a 4 lb. Rainbow they caught in the Open Area on PowerBait. 

2 yr. old Jonah Anderson of Gold River caught his 1st fish ever, a Rainbow Trout in front of his site on PowerBait.  Jon Kouri went fishing with Uncle Ray (Johnson) and almost limited out on trout, he took four fish home.  They were fishing with PowerBait along the campground shoreline.    Jose & Zoe of Marysville caught 6 trout off the beach on chartreuse PowerBait.  Alicia and baby Lovela had a great trip out with Daddy, they caught Catfish, Bluegill, and Trout on worms along the shoreline.

The “Gridley Boys” annual Easter campout was a success, they all caught trout  tossing Kastmasters to lure them in from shore. Mike, Tyler, & Daniel fished from shore with powerbait and caught four trout total.  Four was the magic number for Jordan King from Yuba City and for Marni & Danika Matuska of Ripon also.  Adam, Stephen, Drama, Paul, Brandon, & the other Stephen from Fairfield had a fantastic day of fishing.  Their stringer was 10 strong and the biggest trout was 2 lb. 8 oz. 

The Battenfeld’s & Rubino’s all caught fish this week too fishing off the beach with PowerBait. Joey Thomson of Rocklin & Max Bell of Auburn worked together for a 7 fish stringer of trout which they caught on orange PowerBait off the beach.  Chris & his Dad Ralph Cota of Rohnert Park trolled red Thomas Bouyant lures without weights.  Toplining with Rapalas is still good this week but it is warming up quickly so that could change here shortly!

Another group of guys (Duane, Larry, Dan, & David) slammed the trout using PowerBait off the beach!!  Their stringer consisted of 14 Rainbows, now that’s a team effort in action!  Jordan Cossairt,  & Dad Patrick from Grass Valley worked hard to get 3 yr. old Jordan’s 1st fish ever, a trout caught on PowerBait.

Kevin Severson & son Mason took two brothers (Brandon & Brian) fishing off the beach and each one caught a trout using PowerBait.  Ivan Abaunza of Martinez caught a limit of trout and a beautiful Crappie trolling worms on a wedding ring spinner.
