The Titan Trout thrives for another week!! His belly is full and he’s kickin back watching re-runs of Sponge Bob!!  We had a fantastic week of weather and fishing and our 4th fish plant is due anyday now.  The weather this week is a little more challenging but not too bad, it is mostly rain and very little wind.  Mike Young of Oroville started the week off with a bang.  He was using PowerBait in the Open Area and netted a 4 lb. trout.  The same day Erik Zetterberg of Grass Valley hooked a 4 lb. trout on a Kastmaster trolling under the power lines in the north end of our lake.  The next day Miss Morgan Vincent caught another 4 lb. trout on marshmallows down by the dam near the Water’s Edge.  Now that’s the way to start the week!!

A bunch of people caught trout and never left their campsites!  John & Joni Elward of Paradise each caught a trout in the main campground on PowerBait.  John’s was a tad bit bigger than Joni’s which didn’t burst her bubble one little bit, she was very excited when she caught hers!  Ross Kugler and family also caught trout from shore and when Grandpa Kit arrived he got one on his first cast. Nick Fissel caught a limit of trout on a Cripplure and he trolled all over the lake.  Another limit went to Brandon Smith & Jamie Roach of Fairfield.  They trolled with a Kastmaster or floated PowerBait off the bottom and their biggest Trout weighed 4 pounds.

Ray Pray of Marysville took home three nice Rainbows and his biggest was 2 lb. 4 oz. Ray fished near the dam alternating between nightcrawlers and PowerBait.  Little Nathaniel Silva could barely hold up his 3 lb. 4 oz. Rainbow for his photo!  He fished in Elmer’s Cove from shore and used yellow corn PowerBait.  Jaceson Smith of Natomas returned again this week with his son Jacob and though their fishing trip started off a little slow due to the rain, they ended up catching some awesome trout.   Thanks Jaceson for emailing those great pictures to us.

Jimmy Hitt of Rocklin caught the BIGGEST TROUT this week, he hooked a 5 lb. 8 oz. Rainbow and another one at  3 lb. 8 oz. trolling with a fire-tiger Rapala.  Congrats to Autumn Bundy of Newcastle, she hooked two trout trolling with a copper Kastmaster.  Tony Cabral of Dobbins used a worm/salmon egg combo and caught two trout.  Sisters, Jessica & Allie Herbert caught a trout in the Open Area on PowerBai

A 4lb. 4 oz. Rainbow goes to Mike Ramon of Yuba City and he fished the bridge from shore using orange PowerBait.  Alex, Juan, & Frankie all ganged up on one poor little Rainbow, using PowerBait by the dam.  Also fishing the dam area was Chris Calhoun & Brant Smith.  They did great, they took home four fish and the biggest trout was 2 lb. 12oz. on PowerBait.
