No fish plants this week

Our lake’s temperature didn’t drop as quickly as we had hoped so our Fall Trout planting won’t begin this week but next week instead.  Everyone is getting really anxious to get some “fall action” and we are too!!  As soon as the fish arrive I will post it on the front page of our website under “What’s New”.  Waterskiing has ended for the season and we are back to a boat speed of 20 mph max.  This will also help the fishermen trolling in boats.

Justin & Jake of Grass Valley returned for another day of fishing and again did not leave empty handed.  They brought in a 3 lb. 8 oz.  Catfish this time while fishing with mackerel by the dam.  Jerry Freeman of Live outdid himself this time, producing a stringer of four Catfish  ranging from 4 to 10 pounds.  Jerry fishes at night in his boat in Elmer’s Cove using sardines for bait.

Jeremy Cain & Kristin Baker also hooked a 7 lb. Catfish in a cove on a Diver.  Then there were the Trout fisherladies!! First was Marlene Aprile of Vacaville and she caught a 3 lb. Brown Trout trolling a Z-Ray along the east shore.  Next was Joni Elward from Paradise and she caught the only fish of the day.  Joni Trolled with a Krocodile around 12′ down around the island across the lake.
