Doug Clark from Elk Grove & his partner in crime Jimmy Trejo of Yuba City held the spotlight this week with their double limit of Trout. They fish from a boat, trolling silver Wobbler lures on the east side around 30 feet down and always catch fish. Now this is partly because they “know our lake” but mostly because they never “give up” and will stay out until they complete their limit no matter how long it takes. They are “old school fishermen”-out on the lake before the crack of dawn!!
Cassidy Buck’s fish got her so excited says her parents! It was her 1st fish and she caught a Redear on worms down by the dam. Tate & Barkley also caught fish from the dam shoreline! They netted 4 Rainbows which they caught on rainbow Powerbait.

The Lesondak boys from Lincoln did an awesome job of fishing on their camping trip this week! Little Tyler hooked a Redear on a worm, then D.J. hooked a 3 lb. Catfish on worms, then Tim had to go and show off with a 5 lb. Catfish catch!! Sounds like they are a fishing family and that’s a good thing!!
Sisters Lacy & Lily Parsons of Oakley were real excited about their catch as well, it was a 2 lb. 8 oz. Rainbow Trout. They caught it from a boat in the middle of the lake floating a worm/powerbait combo. Thanks to Randy Groebler who took a picture with his camera phone and sent it to us. Randy caught a 2 lb. 8 oz. Bass in a cove with a Kastmaster lure.

Congrats to Ian, Kayla & Sarah of Simi Valley who never gave up hope! They finally caught a fish and what a handsome Trout it was!
Randy & Dale caught 3 Trout while trolling at 25′ by the dam with worms.
