What is the best way to “bond” with your  children? TAKE THEM FISHING-you not only get to spend lots of “time” together you get to share in the joy of catching a fish together. The joy never diminishes as they grow older, it’s always as wonderful at 30 yrs. old as it was when you were only 3 yrs. old as seen on their faces when they come up to get their picture taken!  Little Hunter Abbot of Oroville landed his 1st Fish at the boat dock this week, it was a gorgeous Redear Sunfish.

The whole entire Schrick Family fished from their boat near the 4 mph zone and caught some Trout on chartreuse powerbait. Then there was the OTA Family of Elk Grove that worked together beautifully and hooked 6 Bass, 2 Trout, and a Crappie.  Chase Ota’s Trout was the biggest, it weighed in at 2 lbs. and he tricked it with salmon eggs.

Ed, Tristan & Connor of Colusa did some night fishing off the dock and using their own stinky concoction to lure Catfish and it worked by golly-they hooked an 11 lb. Cat & a 3 lb. 4 oz. Cat.  Cody Jensen of Vacaville and his Dad drifted in their boat by the dam using worms and caught 3 Rainbows.  Ryan & Chris Enos & Tim Thompson fished by the dam and landed 8 Rainbows of chartreuse powerbait, that’s teamwork!
