The summer transition has finally happened, the Trout have gone deeper and the Sunfish & Bass are in the shallows.  Live bait for the bass is best, including crawdads or worms.  Live minnow or worms work are excellent choices when fishing for Redear Sunfish or Crappie.  Boat rentals are available any day of the week and are reduced on weekdays.  Catfish crave stinkbaits such as clams, sardines, or chicken liver.

David Bennett of Marysville fished all night and brought in four Cats over 5 pounds each on his very first attempt at Catfishing. He said they started biting after 10 p.m and and pulled them in using chicken livers for bait.  He caught them all between 10pm and midnight then he fell asleep in his boat and woke up with a blanket of ants on him that came out of the tree he was tied to!!

Our Korbel campers -Ryan & Bari Barella returned with Louie, Dan, Sandi, Carol, Pat, & Tom and caught some nice Trout off the dock using worms or green Powerbait.  Some of them were caught trolling off the sand beach as well.
