I’m happy to report that fish are on the bite again this week. The Anderson-Machen families of Marysville started off the week with 2 limits of Rainbows which they caught from shore by the dam using nightcrawlers. Their biggest Rainbow Trout was a 3 lb. 12 oz. and it had a prize tag attached. Your best chance for catching Trout is still in the early morning hours when the water is cool or at night while fishing from your boat or off one of our docks.
Patrick St. John of Yuba City used live crawdads off the rental dock and hooked a nice Bass. Jimmy Trejo & his friend Doug Clark trolled with copper colored Wobblers and each limited out on Trout.

The Bertolin family is back camping this week and Blake Bertolin hooked a Catfish and a Trout on their arrival. He was fishing with crawdads off the boat dock. Kevin Donovan of Yuba City was very excited when he pulled in a 12 lb. 8 oz. Catfish on a nightcrawler while fishing with his friend Dave Callison. Dave was pretty happy too, he hooked 2 nice Bass, one weighed 3-3/4 lb. & the other weighed 4-3/4 lb. and he was also fishing with nightcrawlers.
Leslie Vaughn & her Dad Wayne experienced their first “father-daughter campout” this week. On their 3rd day Leslie did something that helped her Dad catch a fish which up until that point was having no luck at all. She walked the shoreline one day and found some “fish activity” and told Dad where he needed to drop his line and it worked!! Wayne caught a Catfish using a nightcrawler and like any good Dad he gave Leslie “all the credit”!!
