Summer is almost over and the kids will be returning to school which means there are more fish for the adults to catch!!  I do love summers and watching  the smiling faces on those little critters when they bring their fish up to the store to get their picture taken.  Tommy Hagerty of San Leandro took a “giant step” and actually touched the fish this year! He didn’t want to, but he did it for me so I could get a close up shot.

Kevin, Kelly, Billy & Will had a fantastic day of fishing!!  They used nightcrawlers mostly and  took home 8 Trout, a Crappie, and a Catfish that weighed 7 lb. 8 oz. Weitzel & Anzer of Grass Valley caught 2 Trout on powerbait & worms from their patioboat anchored in near the beach.

Mike Hastie was fishing in the north end from a boat in approximately 15′ of water with powerbait and hooked a gigantic Catfish weighing 9 pounds. That was the biggest fish reported this week, NICE JOB MIKE>>>>>

Dave Hymes of San Francisco was tossing a garlic flavored worm on the east side and I presume he was bass fishing but the big ol’ catfish he caught didn’t care. He hooked a 6 lb. 12 oz. Catfish instead and looked very pleased about his catch…

The Whorton family from Petaluma and the Bertolin family from San Jose wrapped up their camping week with a few more Trout and a 4 lb. 12 oz. Catfish. The kids were instrumental in catching FISH for their families and always came home with something for the supper table.  Kudos to Blake, Brianna, & Brooke Bertolin and Tyler Whorton!!

Hooray to Aubrey Casper of San Jose who caught her 1st Fish this week. She used powerbait and caught 2 Trout from the rental boat dock along with Travis Kugler.  Gregory Steele of Lincoln caught a Bass off the dock with worms.  Little Danny Anderson caught another nice Rainbow, a 3 lb. Trout using chartreuse powerbait near the dam.

Lorenzo Cassanova and his cousin Tommy Hagerty brought up a Rainbow Trout that Tommy caught by the dam while trolling powerbait.  Tanner Buck also used powerbait from the shore and hooked a nice Rainbow Trout.
